TRACEABILITY

See where the milk comes from – and where it has been

Genitus connects identity, events, relationships and location, so milk can be traced both backwards to its origin and forwards to delivery and use.

WHAT TRACEABILITY SHOULD ANSWER

Four questions – one connected data foundation

Where does it come from?

Donor, origin and input units.

What has happened?

Screening, treatment, control and decisions.

Where is it?

Active location, storage status and movement.

Where was it used?

Delivery, consumption and recipient child.

BOX AND BATCH

From box to batch – traceability continues

Unpasteurised milk is registered as a box. During pasteurisation a new physical unit is created: a batch that continues through the rest of the process. A batch can consist of milk from one or several boxes pasteurised together.

  • BOX-007 · Input unit
  • BAT-0091 · New physical unit

  • Delivery and use · Child N-204

Important: BOX-004 and BOX-007 are retained as historical input units for BAT-0091. They are not shown as the continuing physical unit after pasteurization.

BOTH DIRECTIONS

Trace backwards and forwards from the same data foundation

Backward tracing

Start with a delivery, batch or child and find origin, incoming boxes, treatments and documented assessments.

Forward tracing

Start with donor, box or batch and find storage, shipments, deliveries, remaining milk and recipients.

OBJECTS, RELATIONSHIPS AND EVENTS

History explains more than a status

Connected overview

Shows how donor, box, batch, location, delivery and child are connected.

Relationships

Makes it possible to follow input units, output units, splitting, merging and recipients.

Audit trail

Documents who did what, when it happened and which identity was active.
