ACCESSIBILITY

A website that should be easy for more people to use

We want milkbank.eu to be easy to use regardless of technology, ability or how the site is operated.

What we prioritise

  • • Keyboard and focus
  • • Contrast and readability
  • • Structure and correct page language

How we work with accessibility

Accessibility is part of how the website is designed, developed and quality assured. Among other things we work with clear structure, readable text, good contrast, keyboard navigation and semantic markup of the content.

What the website should support

  • Keyboard

Important functionality should be usable without a mouse.

  • Visible focus

It should be clear which element has keyboard focus.

  • Contrast and readability

Text and user interface should have good contrast and work when magnified.

  • Structure and language

Semantic structure, logical headings and the correct page language should make the content easier to interpret and navigate using assistive technologies.

The standard we work towards

We use relevant requirements and recommendations in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), with level A and AA as a practical starting point for developing and quality assuring milkbank.eu.

This page describes how Genitus works with accessibility on the website. It is not a public accessibility statement on uustatus.no, the Norwegian public service for such statements.

Known challenges

We test and improve the website continuously. If we identify accessibility problems that cannot be resolved immediately, we will describe them here and update the information once they are fixed.
