Yes. Genitus Milkbank is developed to handle both frozen milk and milk that is pasteurised.
Every physical milk unit is given a unique identity and a documented history.
When milk is pasteurised and a new batch is created, the link back to the milk that went into the batch is retained.
The milk bank can therefore follow both the operational workflow and the relationship between original milk units, processing, storage, delivery and use.
This makes it possible to handle different processing paths without losing the traceability between them.
Traceability is built around unique identity on milk units and documented relationships between the events in the milk bank.
The system records, among other things, what has happened to the milk, which physical unit or batch it concerns, where it is located and which other objects or recipients it is linked to.
This makes it possible to trace backwards to find origin and history, and forwards to identify which units or recipients may be affected.
Traceability therefore follows the milk through the workflow instead of being a separate registration alongside it.
Genitus Milkbank links quality work to what actually happens in the operational milk flow.
Deviations, CAPA, vigilance, recall, audit trail and reporting can be linked to relevant events, milk units, batches and recipients.
This provides a better documented basis for assessment, actions and follow-up, while traceability is retained.
The solution is developed with the new European SoHO requirements as an important premise and is intended to support needs such as traceability, documentation, quality and follow-up.
